My Sister Jodie!

My Sister Jodie is all about 2 sisters whose lives completely change when they move school. Pearl is the younger sister, and this story is written from her point of view. Jodie is her older sister and role-model, which probably isn't the best inspiration as Jodie is always skipping school and getting into trouble. She doesn't change her behaviour when moving school either. She hates everyone there and the feeling is mutual as Jodie constantly gets bullied and picked on. Pearl actually likes school, contrary to her previous experience. She is making friends and having fun. But, you know what they say, nothing ever lasts forever...

I love this book, as I do all Jacqueline Wilson stories. It is beautifully written and creates a sense of tension, like something awful is about to happen. Don't worry, I won't spoil anything!!! What I will say, is that the ending shook me to my core! It was a complete shock and I was devastated. The ending was unsatisfying in the best way possible, as I wanted the book to continue but it didn't. The characters were well made and I got to know them throughout the book. Some I liked, some.... not so much. Anyway, I definitely recommend this book. However, there are some sensitive topics on this book so make sure you are comfortable with such topics- nothing too extreme, just a warning for younger readers. 100% recommended!!!!
