Cookie is a book written by Jacqueline Wilson about a girl who doesn't have the nicest of dads. She is conscious about her weight and doesn't have many friends in school. One day, after a party, her and her mum run away from their dad and seek a new life. Will it go well, or will it end badly?

I absolutely love this book because it's realistic and relatable with her stresses about school. It is believable and that is what makes it so fun and vivid to read. At some parts it is very intense and I show strong emotions towards characters. Love it! Although, I am annoyed it ended so soon, I wish it was a longer book because I want to know more about her story.

Recommended Ages: 9-10+
